Q. What characteristics are you looking for in a candidate?

A. Common characteristics of successful candidates include demonstrated academic or career success, excellent oral and written communications skills, a skill set that is closely matched to the position requirements, and a demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Q. After submitting my application, when should I expect to hear from you next?

A. Shortly after you submit your application online, you should receive an automated email from persdir@lrca.com. If you don’t see the email within 24 hours, be sure to check your spam folder. Please email us at persdir@lrca.com if you did not receive an automated email to ensure we received your application. If you respond to a specific job posting or advertisement, we typically follow up within two weeks of the submission.

Q. What are the steps in your hiring process?

A. After you submit your application, you may be asked to complete and return a candidate questionnaire. The questionnaire gives us additional insight into your background and experience and allows us to review consistent information across candidates. Depending on the position being sought, we may also request other documents, such as college transcripts or letters of recommendation.

Once you provide all requested materials, they will be reviewed by our hiring team. If we have a position available for which you appear qualified, we will contact you to schedule one or more interviews. Interviews may be onsite or virtual, depending on the circumstances.

After interviews are complete, an offer of employment may be extended. If you were not selected to move forward in the hiring process, you will be notified via email. The hiring process typically takes a month or longer and is dependent upon a variety of factors (e.g., candidate response rate, interview schedules, etc.).
