Brad P. Wagner, M.S. (University of Wisconsin - Madison, 2003), is a Senior Programmer at CA Energy Consulting. Mr. Wagner and his team are responsible for meeting the myriad software needs of the firm’s diverse client base, from high-traffic Internet applications to complex behind-the-scenes modeling engines. Mr. Wagner has led the development of numerous software components used by wholesale power producers to optimize generator commitment decisions and analyze transmission grid contingencies and siting proposals. He is the lead technical designer of CA Energy Consulting’s Fixed-Bill Software, the industry-leading package for computing customer-specific fixed monthly bills for electricity service. Mr. Wagner is fluent in numerous programming platforms, including C++, .NET, Visual Basic, Java, and Matlab, and is well respected for his ability to render complex concepts in simple, user-friendly interfaces. His insights into generator-scheduling strategies have been published in The Electricity Journal.
