Dan Anderson, Ph.D. (University of Wisconsin-Madison, 1970), is the Leslie P. Schultz Professor of Risk Management and Insurance at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He has taught in the actuarial science, risk management, and insurance department for nearly 30 years, and was department chair for 17. He is past president of the American Risk and Insurance Association, has authored more than 60 pieces for risk management and business publications, and has been a consultant/expert witness to numerous organizations including Procter and Gamble, Reliance Insurance Company, and Marmon Group. His areas of expertise include government insurance programs, catastrophe insurance, liability risk management, insurance company insolvencies, litigation involving asbestos and Superfund/pollution claims, and environmental risk management.
