Jess D. Reaser, Ph.D. (Michigan State University, 1998) is a senior economist. In addition to his background in labor economics, he specializes in econometric and statistical analysis. His work at Christensen Associates includes regression analyses in antitrust and employment discrimination cases. Dr. Reaser has also testified at trial regarding expected future earnings. For the U.S. Postal Service, Dr. Reaser has estimated labor demand functions, analyzed labor productivity, conducted surveys and pricing analyses, and examined the impact of technological innovation on mail volumes. He has participated in policy-oriented research on topics such as labor market adjustments, workplace training, minority hiring, and Affirmative Action policies. Dr. Reaser’s research on workplace training and minority hiring has been published in Research in Labor Economics and The Journal of Urban Economics. Dr. Reaser’s research also includes analyzing the determinants of chief executive compensation in manufacturing firms and the effect of pay inequality on productivity.
