Michael P. Welsh, Ph.D. (University of Wisconsin-Madison, 1986) is a Senior Economist at Christensen Associates. He has expertise in the collection and analysis of customer preference data. His survey work includes the design, implementation, analysis, and results reporting for a survey of personal computer prices. Information collected in this survey was used to support expert testimony in an antitrust matter. Recently, Dr. Welsh testified before the Wisconsin Public Service Commission regarding the community impact mitigation fees paid to Wisconsin communities hosting power plants. Dr. Welsh has managed numerous data collection efforts, both qualitative and quantitative, on a variety of topics. His work has been published in the Journal of Environmental Economics and Management, American Journal of Agricultural Economics, and Land Economics.
