Survey Design
Christensen Associates will design a survey that best meets the needs of your project. We can develop online surveys, mail surveys, telephone surveys, and/or mixed-mode surveys.
Depending on your needs, budget, and timelines, a number of steps may be followed in designing the survey instrument(s). These steps include:
- production of draft instruments
- client review of and comment on draft instruments
- internal review and redrafting of instruments
- pre-testing of survey instruments.
These procedures ensure the production of a survey that is appropriate to your needs.
Online surveys can usually be administered more quickly, and avoid the data entry required with hard-copy surveys. However, not everyone has access to the Internet, so in some cases we use a mail or telephone survey in addition to or instead of an online survey in order to ensure that the sampled respondents are representative.
Christensen Associates is skilled at designing surveys that meet a variety of needs. Our expertise ranges from designing simple surveys that ask a series of straightforward questions, to producing complex, choice-based conjoint surveys that are carefully designed in order to elicit useful information.
Our online surveys accommodate a variety of question types, including:
- Likert scales (responses range from “strongly agree” to “strongly disagree”)
- choice-based conjoint questions
- selecting one item from a list
- checking all that apply from a list
- open-ended or restricted text and numeric entry.
