Labor Compensation Modeling
Christensen Associates designed and maintained a labor compensation budgeting model for the U.S. Postal Service’s 700,000-person labor force. This model forecasted national and regional labor compensation rates using details from labor contracts, memoranda of understanding, information on hiring and retirements, and national economic data. The model was an important tool in setting national and regional Postal budgets.
This project entailed a series of aggressive deadlines each year, and we established a track record of meeting or exceeding these deadlines. This project required continuous interactions and good communications with management and programmers at several levels of the organization.
