Christensen Associates has worked extensively with Strategic Planning at the U.S. Postal Service in designing a ten-year financial scenario model. This model measures how the Postal Service’s bottom-line finances are affected by changes in mail volume growth, mail mix, postal prices, resource prices, productivity, and program initiatives. The model has been particularly relevant for analyzing how the growing use of electronic alternatives to physical mail, such as email, electronic funds transfers, and electronic bill presentment and payment, will affect the Postal Service's volume profile and financial position.
