A STUDY OF COMPETITION IN THE RAILROAD INDUSTRY
Welcome. The Surface Transportation Board (STB) hired Christensen Associates to conduct an independent study of competition in the railroad industry. (See Chairman Nottingham's letter about this study.)
The primary purpose of this website is to facilitate an exchange of ideas and comments relevant to our study. You can participate in this public discussion by following the "Project Discussion" links.
Once you have registered for the forum you can select how much or how little information about yourself will be displayed to other participants in the forum. As a participant in the forum you can post comments that will be available to anyone viewing the forum. In addition, forum participants can send comments directly to the study team. Comments sent to the study team will not be immediately available to the public.
At the conclusion of the study we will report the comments. However, it is not our intention to associate specific comments with specific forum participants. We only intend on providing a summary of comments we receive by the various stakeholder groups.
