Advisory Panel Overview
[members]An advisory panel has been assembled as part of the study on railroad competition, capacity and service quality. The purpose of the advisory panel is:
- To serve as a sounding board for our findings from the qualitative research phase
- Are the issues that we have uncovered relevant?
- Have we missed any critical issues?
- To serve as a sounding board for the specific research questions to be investigated
- Are we addressing meaningful questions?
- Are there other meaningful questions we should investigate?
- To serve as a sounding board for the general methodological approaches to the research questions
- Are our proposed methods and uses of data appropriate?
- Are there other data and methods we should consider?
- To have individual members be available to provide the research team with sector/industry/market specific insights
The advisory panel will not review or receive any preliminary reports from the study.
Participation on the advisory panel will not imply that the individual or his/her organization agrees with or endorses the study’s approach or findings.
Participation on the advisory panel will not limit the individual’s or his/her organization’s ability to provide comments directly to the research team or to participate in the on-line forum at the study’s website
The panel has been selected so as to be fairly representative of the stakeholder group as a whole.
