Brad Chandler is an expert in mergers and acquisitions (M&A) transactions, capital markets transactions / securities issuances, investment banking, cryptocurrencies, and digital assets. A former investment banker with extensive experience at Morgan Stanley, Brad successfully executed over 55 M&A and capital markets transactions representing over $225 billion in transaction value. Brad has a broad range of transaction experience that spans multiple industries (including manufacturing, chemicals, natural resources / energy, and technology), large public companies, and top private equity firms.

While at Morgan Stanley, Brad advised Dow on its merger-of-equals with DuPont, Axiall on its hostile defense against Westlake Corporation, Agrium on its proxy contest victory over JANA Partners, Dresser Rand on its sale to Siemens AG, and Chemtura on its sale to LANXESS. He also executed transactions for Bain Capital, Advent Capital Management, Clayton Dubilier & Rice, and First Reserve.

As a faculty member in the Finance Department at UW-Madison’s Wisconsin School of Business, Brad has served as director of the Nicholas Center for Corporate Finance and Investment Banking (2017-2023), an endowed program educating graduate students in the field of corporate finance and investment banking. In addition, Brad teaches upper-level courses on mergers and acquisitions, investment banking and capital markets, financial modeling and valuation, applied corporate finance, and cryptocurrencies, blockchain, and digital assets. Brad launched UW-Madison’s first-ever course on cryptocurrencies in 2018 and is a frequent speaker on topics related to FinTech, digital assets, and decentralized finance.

In addition, Brad serves as a board member and CFO of a biotechnology startup that aims to accelerate the pace of drug discovery, the chair of the advisory board of a non-profit seeking to help undergraduates from diverse backgrounds obtain investment banking internships, and an advisor to a venture-backed FinTech platform.
