Brent works on Christensen Associates’ total factor productivity measurement project for the United States Postal Service, applying index number methods, production theory, and modern data-science tools.
Before joining Christensen Associates, Brent was Chief of the Structure, Technology, and Productivity Branch at USDA’s Economic Research Service, where he led the U.S. agricultural total factor productivity accounts. Earlier, he was an associate professor of agricultural and applied economics at the University of Wisconsin–Madison. His research has been published in the American Journal of Agricultural Economics and other journals.
In his free time, he enjoys travel and cooking, cycling, and exploring Wisconsin’s Driftless region.
