One of the founding partners of Christensen Associates in 1976, Doug Caves directed Christensen Associates’ research and consulting practice for the electric utility industry for over 30 years. He also actively engaged in utility regulatory reform and incentive regulation, and testified in numerous jurisdictions.  Doug is known as an innovator in the design and evaluation of a wide range of competitive service offerings, including real-time pricing, interruptible/curtailable service, and priority service. His scholarly work has been published in a number of prestigious journals, including the American Economic Review, the Journal of Political Economy, Econometrica, and The Review of Economics and Statistics.
